CHARACTER INFORMATION Full name: Lillabeth Clara DiMera. Nickname: Lil bit Age: 27 Species Vampire :: Enhanced reflexes, senses of sight, smell, and hearing.
Physical Description: Big brown eyes, red lips, long brown hair with waves...and looking as though she were afraid of her own shadow though it is all very much an act. Her skin is alabaster, firm as marble, and cold to the touch. Her eyes are red and her eye teeth are extended so that they can easily be seen if she smiles too widely.
Personality: Lillabeth is strong willed, cold, and apathetic to most other individuals. She loathes those weaker than her but will protect those who become important to her whatever the cost. To anyone who does not know her, Lillabeth is just a weak little child that needs to be taken care of. Having been turned at such a young age, she has the advantage of baby-faced features, but the thought process and instinct of someone ten years older than she appears to be. She has the ability to charm anyone with the right words and looks, though males tend to be easier to charm than women.
History: From the day Lillabeth was born she could have been certain she was going to have a perfect life. Her mother and father loved and cared for her, she lived in a beautiful house by the ocean and never wanted for anything. For the most part she was a good little girl, but loved to sneak out of her window at night to go down to the beach and collect freshly washed up shells, starfish, and sand dollars before the daily beachcombers came to claim them for their own. At seventeen years old, she was rambunctious and untamable, but everyone loved her. And at seventeen years old, she lost her family to a female vampire who had been watching the family for a very long time, intent on taking Lillabeth for herself.
The woman broke into the house the night of a full moon as she was on the beach. Her father heard the intrusion and thought only of his wife and daughter first. He woke his wife and as they decided to try and get to Lillabeth, the bedroom door opened. The face on the other side was that of a young woman, and she was angry. She was merciless in her killing, drinking until she could drink no more. All that remained of Lillabeth's parents were lifeless shells of who they used to be.
The vampire woman found the girl on the beach and called to her. It was impossible to ignore to ethereal beauty of the woman, and Lillabeth needed only to hear this woman was a family friend. It didn't matter that she had never seen this frightening and beautiful face before, Lillabeth was instantly in love. The woman wanted a hug and, obliging, the girl surrendered herself to the arms surrounding her and picking her up as though she weighed no more than a whisper. She felt the sting of the fangs too late, her little high pitched scream dying in her throat before it even had a real chance of escape.
The first night of being a vampire was the hardest. She felt her body, her human body, dying all around her and a thirst for something she couldn't name but knew she had never tasted. The night passed with pain induced moments of lapses in consciousness, and the constant care of the strange vampire woman. By morning, Lillabeth already knew she was different. She felt stronger than she ever had before. Things that she had never noticed before, the moving of an ant on the floor, the colors in every single thread of an ornate fabric curtain all seemed very real and very tangible. And the thirst? It was not quenched until a goblet was brought to her lips, not for the first time but for the first time she could remember, and drank deeply of the warm blood that tasted like liquid sunshine.
As time passed, Lillabeth forgot her parents, regarding them as weak and pathetic. Her new mother, Siona, was the only one who mattered. She doted on her new daughter, cared for her, taught her, and treated her as kin. They often hunted together and could have easily passed as real mother and daughter for the similarities in their looks. That is, if they had ever been relatively social. The pair were happy living alone together and never felt the need to seek out companionship from anyone else.
When the order was given that all of the vampires were to be killed, Siona and Lillabeth agreed they would have a better chance of escape if they split up. As they embraced and parted ways, Lillabeth watched her mother go, kissing her icy cheek one last time. As Siona disappeared into the wilderness, Lillabeth did just the opposite. She waited until the vampires were actually being sought and found a home with people she did not recognize. At a physical age of seventeen and a mental age of twenty-six, she pasted on her best frantic expression and began breathing rapidly as she banged on the door. The man who answered was older and it didn't take much convincing for him to take the scared girl in. After all, who wouldn't believe a little angel face when she said she got separated from her parents when the commotion began. Lillabeth stayed with the old man and his wife until they began to grow suspicious. Only a few weeks after all the vampires had supposedly been slain, Lillabeth disappeared to live on her own, just inside the forest but close to the beach.
She has survived this long by staying hidden, using her enhanced abilities to keep her one step ahead of any potential enemy. Using Full Moon Forgiveness, Lillabeth hunts for humans and then tears the bodies apart in the way any feral beast would, taking great pains to make sure she leaves behind nothing that would ever lead anyone to suspect it was a vampire to do the killing. Between the cycles, she survives on wild animals she catches. It is not optimal, but it must be done.
Every now and then she will wander into civilization but her stays never last long. She is almost like a ghost story now, the little girl that never ages. Some have seen her, some have not. Who is she and who does she belong to? Luckily for Lillabeth, the people of Arest have much more to worry about than one innocent looking girl.
